Logan Michael Knapp, age 27, passed away May 23, 2026 in Richwood Ohio as the result of an accident. Born on October 20, 1998 in Mt. Gilead, Ohio as the son of Bernadette (Claudio) and Ricky Knapp. From a young age, Logan also had his step-father, Doug Edler Jr. in his life. Logan’s time among us was marked by a vibrant spirit, boundless kindness and an unwavering dedication to those he loved. Logan dedicated much of his life to farming, working on the Pugh Farms where his connection to the land and the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. His love for the outdoors extended beyond his profession; he found great joy riding his motorcycle through open country, embracing freedom and adventure at every turn.
Known for his fun-loving nature, Logan was never short of friends. His warm personality and genuine friendliness ensured that he never met a stranger. Known for being fiercely loyal, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether he was out with friends or enjoying a meal together, his presence was a source of warmth and laughter. Family held a place of profound importance in Logan’s heart. Logan's family extended much further than blood, as he was extremely dedicated to those he loved. He was a devoted father to his son, Winston Knapp and daughter Haven Knapp, cherishing every moment spent with them. Beyond his parental role, Logan was known as the best uncle, always ready to lend a helping hand or share in joyful moments with his nieces and nephews: Nora, Theo, Reagan, Adalynn, and Ronnie "Ornery." His playful teasing, especially being a good-natured “pain” in Shea’s rear, added a lighthearted touch to family gatherings.
Logan's faith was an integral part of his life, and he was a member of the Caledonia Church of Christ community, where he found spiritual strength and fellowship. He is survived by his grandparents; Rick (Debbie) Knapp, Debi (Dan) Rogers, Doug Sr. (Bev) Edler and Sabrina (John) Salazar, siblings; Shea (Ron Carr) Edler, Dusty (Lydia) Edler, and Del (Whitney) Edler who, along with his extended special family Robert and Laurie Pugh and a wide circle of friends, will deeply feel the loss of a man who exemplified warmth, generosity, and the joy of living. Logan is preceded in death by his father Ricky Knapp.
Visitation for Logan will be held from 4:00-9:00 P.M. Friday May 29th at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 30th at 11:30 in Marengo Cemetery with David Braxton officiating. A fellowship meal will be held at the Caledonia Church of Christ following the graveside service. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help aid the family with final expenses.
The memories of Logan Michael Knapp—the farmer, the friend, the devoted father and uncle—will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, humor, and love for the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
The Timson & Melroy Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Logan Knapp.
