Toni Charlene
Hill
May 23, 1954 – May 9, 2026
Anselment Memorial Park
2:00 - 6:00 pm (Eastern time)
Toni Charlene Hill, age 71, a cherished soul whose vibrant spirit touched countless lives, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 9, 2026. Born on May 23, 1954, in Marion, Ohio as the daughter of the late Donald and Jeanette (Rorick) Hill. Toni’s life was a tapestry woven with dedication, love, and joyous moments shared with family and friends.
For over three decades, Toni served faithfully as an Inspector with JG Clark, a career marked by her commitment and integrity. Her warm, welcoming demeanor extended beyond her professional life into her roles as a bartender at the Olentangy Tavern (OT) and Short & Dee’s, where her friendly smile and attentive nature were as much a part of the atmosphere as the drinks she skillfully served. These places were not just workplaces but familiar grounds where Toni’s charismatic presence made lasting impressions on all who met her. She was an ornery character and there was never a dull moment if she was involved.
Toni’s heart truly came alive during her moments at her daughter’s lake house on Lake Erie. She cherished the tranquility and camaraderie found there, delighting in fishing excursions, lively karaoke sessions, and spirited parties that brought family and friends together in celebration and laughter. She was a member of the American Legion Worcester Post #401, where her dedication to community and camaraderie was evident. Music was a vital part of Toni’s life, with a special affection for Fleetwood Mac and the enchanting voice of Stevie Nicks that accompanied many of her joyful gatherings and quiet evenings alike. Her love for storytelling took a mysterious turn as she found joy in reading ghost stories, often sharing her expansive library with her doctor, and indulging in paranormal and ghost story programs on television — a unique passion that revealed her imaginative and curious nature.
Family was the cornerstone of Toni’s life. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Angel (Josh) Welsh, her grandchildren, Preston and Carson Welsh, whose love and pride in their grandmother were infinite. Toni’s life was further blessed by the presence of her nieces and nephews—Larry (Tami) Haubert, Mike Haubert, and Staci (Bob) Mowry—each carrying forward the warmth and kindness she so freely gave as well as her brother, Kenny (Donna) Hill. She is also survived by her grand dogs, Dixie and Denver. Toni is preceded in death by her sister, Patty Haubert, and niece, Robin Harrison who held a cherished place in her heart.
Toni Charlene Hill’s journey on this earth was one filled with passion, laughter, loyalty, and an unwavering zest for life. Though she has departed, the echoes of her spirited songs, her infectious laughter by the lakeside, and her gentle kindness will forever live in the hearts she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the extraordinary privilege to know her.
A Celebration of Life, who we kidding, an epic PARTAY will be held June 27th at Anselment Memorial Park from 2-6. Come share your memories of Toni with family and friends.Food and drinks will be provided. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
