Born on May 19, 1956, Alan's life was marked by a deep appreciation for family, friends, and the simple joys that made life beautiful.

Alan was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Kenneth and Elsie (Armbruster) Longacre, and his brother, John. A graduate of Harding High School's class of 1974, Alan spent most of his life in Marion and recently called Delaware his home. Alan's fondest memories were often made amidst Ohio's picturesque covered bridges. Among these treasures, the Swartz Bridge; held a special place in his heart, offering him solace and peace.

Alan's journey was enriched by his unwavering love for his canine companions over the years. An avid reader, Alan found inspiration within the pages of countless books. His creative spirit found expression through wood burning, painting, and jewelry making in the “Midnight Studio.” Music, especially the soulful tunes of Steely Dan, resonated deeply with Alan, providing a backdrop to his life's experiences.
