H. Annabelle Pommert Gandert age 84 of Canaan Township, Morrow County passed away Tuesday morning November 28th, 2006 in Heartland of Marion. Annabelle was born July 15th, 1922 in Caledonia, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Helen (Fields) Pommert. On March 24th, 1947 she married Joseph Gandert. He preceded her in death on February 19th, 1999. Annabelle was a 1940 graduate of Caledonia High School and the Mansfield Business College. She was a former accountant for Marion Power Shovel and the Caledonia Farm and Home lumber Company. She also worked as a receptionist for Dr. Milton Axthelm in the late sixties and early seventies. She was a member of the Caledonia Memorial United Methodist Church and Vera Chapter #64 O.E.S. in Caledonia and the Marion Senior Center where she enjoyed many games of cards..
She is survived by her children; Charles Bryan & Lana Gandert of Edison, Lisa & Stephan Markley of Caledonia, Rita & Melvin Hile of Lexington, Jeffrey & Cheryl Gandert of Caledonia. Eleven Grandchildren and Fourteen Great Grandchildren and her special friend and companion Sappy. She was preceded in death by her two sisters Stella Mae Miller and Eleanor Loyer.
Private Funeral Services for Annabelle will be held Saturday morning December 2nd 2006 at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia . Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday November 30th from 4:00 until 7:00 . Memorial Contributions may be made to the Caledonia Memorial United Methodist Church, Marion Senior Center or First Consolidated Emergency Squad.
