Ashleigh Elizabeth Baer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Ashleigh Elizabeth Baer, who left us on June 16, 2025, just a day shy of her 36th birthday. Ashleigh’s vibrant spirit and loving nature will forever resonate in the memories of all who had the privilege to know her. Born on June 17, 1989, Ashleigh grew up weaving dreams of creativity and passion. She was a proud 2007 graduate of Perrysburgh High School and furthered her education in the hair design program at PENTA Vocational School, where she honed her skills and cultivated her love for beauty and style. Ashleigh's career as a waitress at IHOP reflected her warm-hearted desire to connect with people, brightening each day for her customers with her infectious smile.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ashleigh immersed herself in the joys of life. She held a profound love for fashion, hair, clothes, and cosmetics—each outfit a canvas for her self-expression. Her passion extended to the tender bonds she forged with animals, particularly her beloved cats, who were often found purring beside her as she crafted beautiful memories with her family.

As a dedicated mother, Ashleigh cherished every moment spent with her daughter, Alexa, and her son, Levi. Together, they created countless crafts and indulged in the pure joy of motherhood. This connection was further deepened through Ashleigh’s love for music, showcased in her time spent as a talented singer in the high school choir. Ashleigh’s athletic spirit shone through in her participation on the Perrysburg swim and soccer teams, where she displayed not just her competitive edge, but also her camaraderie and love for teamwork.

Ashleigh’s adventures took her to Tennessee, a place that held a special charm for her. The memories made during these trips solidified her belief in experiencing life's wonders while surrounded by those she loved. She was a beacon of kindness, exemplifying warmth and dedication to her friends and family.

Ashleigh leaves behind a loving family that will deeply miss her presence: her father, Erick Baer; her mother, Karen (Mowry) Baer; sister, Heather Tyler) Baer; brother, Matthew (Ayano) Baer; her cherished children, Alexa Higgins and Levi Bowles,  nieces and nephews Hayden and Zoey and her furkids Tink and Floof. She is preceded in death by her sister, Melissa Baer-Huther, whose memory Ashleigh carried in her heart.

A visitation in honor of Ashleigh will take place at The Timson & Melroy in Caledonia, Ohio, on June 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the same location at 2:00 PM with Pastor Terry Burkhardt officiating. Ashleigh will then be laid to rest during a graveside service in Caledonia Cemetery at 3:00 PM.

Though Ashleigh has departed from this world, her spirit will forever echo in the lives she touched and in the hearts of those she loved. May her memory be a blessing, reminding us all to cherish every moment and embrace the joy of life just as she did. Memorial Contributions may be made directly to the funeral home to help offset costs.
