Betty Hart

Betty Lou Hart, age 72 of Caledonia Passed away Sunday afternoon Dec 29th, 2013 at home after an extended illness. She was born in Marion January 31st, 1941 as the daughter of the late Dean R. Sr. and Katherine (Houk) Frazier. Betty Lou was a nurses aide at Eastlawn Manor for many years. She enjoyed her flower gardens and house plants and liked nothing better than bird watching out the kitchen window. In 1961 she married Gerald F. Van Gundy Sr and shared his life until he passed away in 1998. She than married John Hart in 2001 and he survives her at home. She is also survived by her children, Lorna (Gary) Carr of Marion, Daylon Dale (Marilyn) Van Gundy of Marysville, Dwight (Sharon) Van Gundy of Caledonia, Gerald (Lisa) Van Gundy Jr. of Marion, Norman (Linda) Van Gundy Marion, Patricia Wray of Marion, Linda (Greg) Burtke of Kettering, Diana (Michael) Beech of Quincy, OH, Tamara (Jeff) McAdams of McFarland, WI, D 22 grandchildren 31 great grandchildren. Betty also leaves behind her brother Dean R. Frazier Jr. of Marion and her sisters Yvonne Simpkins of Kenton and Gerldine Chestnut of Conway, SC.
Graveside Funeral services for Betty will be held at 1:30 P.M. Thursday January 02nd, 2014 in Caledonia Cemetery with Pastor Gary Carr officiating. Friends may call at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia from 11:00 until 1:00 on Thursday.
