Marion - Caryl Joan Fields age 85 of Caledonia passed away Monday afternoon March 24th, 2014 at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky. Caryl was born in Marion on June 6th, 1928 as the daughter of the late Hayes & Maggie (Morgan) Maynard. Caryl was a graduate of Caledonia High School, a member of Caledonia Memorial United Methodist Church and a former member of Esther Temple #90 Pythian Sisters. For fun Caryl was a gambler. She enjoyed the "One Armed Bandits" and playing the lottery even if she didn't win. At home Caryl & Roy enjoyed going the Euchre Parties. In her quite moments she enjoyed her crocheting .But most of all she loved her family. On October 3rd, 1947 Caryl married Roy V. Fields and shared his lfe with him until his death on February 5, 2004. Caryl leaves behind her children; David (Dianne) Fields of Caledonia, Danny & Lou Ann Fields of Marblehead, Dane Fields of Claridon, Dennis (Nancy) Fields of Marion, Suzanne (Robert) Mitchell of Marion and Krista (John Schweinfurth of Waldo. Sixteen Grandchildren, one step grandchild, thirty-one great grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren and her faithful companion Toby. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren. Funeral Services for Caryl will be held at 10:30 Friday March 28th in the Caledonia Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. O. French Ball and Pastor Steve Bloomfield officiating. Interment will follow in Claridon Cemetery. Friends may call at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia on
Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00. Memorial Contributions may be made Memorial United Methodist Church or Hospice of Wyandot County.
