Caledonia - Catherine (Cathy) (Shipp) Jenkins, 73 born on June 20, 1939 in Bismark, North Dakota; passed on Monday, June 17, 2013 after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Kenyon Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her parents George H Shipp and Helen M. (Babcock) Sateren. She is survived by sister Dixie L Graf, Martel; brother Paul Shipp, Bainbridge Island, Washington and sister Sherry (Al) Gibbs, Clements, California and children Dann (Reba) Jenkins, Martel; Carol Sekinger, San Antonio; Texas; Cheryl Wilkins, Midlothian, Texas; Ronda Jenkins, Caledonia; step son Richard Jenkins, Birmingham, Alabama. Additional family members include Laura (Greg) Thacker, Marion and John H (Catherine) Oehlers Jr.(deceased). Surviving grandchildren Joshua Jenkins, Martel; Heather (Adam) Obenour, Paulding, Eugene Sekinger Jr, San Antonio, Texas; Timothy Sekinger, San Antonio, Texas; Jesse Andrews, Midlothian, Texas, Kelly Wilkins, Waxahachie, Texas; Brandon Gates, Caledonia; Bryan Gates, Caledonia; Brittany (Jason) Bollinger, Caledonia; Brice Gates, Caledonia; Sherilee (Chris) Herring, Birmingham, Alabama; John Oehlers III, Chauncey, Tamika Oehlers, Green Camp; Kimberly Oehlers, Marion; Gregory Thacker Jr, Marion and Dustin Thacker, Marion. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013 starting at 3:00, at the American Legion Post 401 in Caledonia. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Catherine's name to the American Legion Post 401, Caledonia.
