Dixie Lee Stafford age 59 of Edison passed away at home on Wednesday September 24th, 2014 after an extended battle with Breast Cancer. She was born in Marion, OH on June 25th, 1955 as the daughter of Roy & Theresa (Hipsher) Paxton. Her father survives her in Caledonia. Dixie was a 1973 graduate of River Valley High School. She called herself a lifetime learner. She completed her Bachelor's Degree from Ohio State University in 1995 and her Masters Degree in Social Work in 2008. She loved touching the lives of youth as a counselor at the Youth Prison . She loved going to garage sales and shopping. She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church of Caledonia and the MAJCF Lunch Bunch. She loved being a farm wife but her favorite thing was spending time with her kids and grandchildren. Dixie leaves behind her husband Randy and her children Jeremy & Jenny Stafford of Edison, Brian & Jaime Stafford of Edison, Brandi (Stafford) & Rocky Booth of Galion and Jenny (Stafford) & Brian Rausch of Edison. Her grandchildren are Brooklyn and Bailee Stafford, Aidan, Bryson, Cason Booth, Avery and Cole Stafford and Luke Rausch. Dixie is also survived by her siblings, Mary (Paxton) and Wayne Pappert of Caledonia, Vicki Dutton of Caledonia and RD and Sharon Paxton of Morral. Dixie is also survived by her Father and Mother-in-law Richard & Shirley Stafford of Caledonia. Funeral Services for Dixie will take place on Saturday September 27, at 10:00 A.M. in Memorial United Methodist Church of Caledonia with Pastor Corby Blanton and Steve Bloomfield officiating. Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 2 - 4, 6 - 9 at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia.
