Edward Leon Foreman

Edward "Ed" Leon Foreman, affectionately known as "Big Ed" or "Jughead" to a few, was a devoted family man and respected member of his community, who passed away on August 5, 2025, at his residence. Born on September 5, 1952, in Marion, Ohio, as the son of the late Emmett and Elda (McClurg) Foreman. Edward was a proud graduate of the Marion Harding High School Class of 1971 and soon after met and married the love of his life Jane Nickelson September 30, 1972 in Marion, Ohio. Ed went on to become the owner and operator of Foreman Concrete Construction, where he dedicated many years of his life to building and contributing to the local community.

Ed was known for his passion for the outdoors and was an enthusiastic member of Ducks Unlimited, the National Rifle Association, and the National Wild Turkey Foundation. He cherished hunting, finding joy in pursuing turkey, deer, rabbits, ducks and anything else that dared to move in front of him. There is an exquisite deer mount display in his home showcasing his marksmanship. His love for nature extended to woodworking and gardening, activities that brought him much joy and satisfaction. Ed also had a fondness for raising hunting beagles and collecting Remington bullet knives and shotguns. Above all, he valued his family and loved attending events and activities involving his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Jane "Janie" (Nickelson) Foreman, and his daughters Angela "Nanny" Foreman and Andrea "Rebe" Foreman. His legacy continues through his grandchildren with their coinciding nicknames that he used for each: Duke "Dukie", Katelyn "Katie-Lynnie", Colton "Train", Dalton "Boogie", Allie "Bug", Cayden "Tator" and Ashlynn "Ashie." He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren: Emery "Emmy" , Nash "Nashie", Dawson "Nugget", Leighton "Punkin", and Roman "Ro". Ed is further survived and missed by his sisters, Doris Freeman and Beverly Woodard.

He was preceded in death by his brother Earl Freeman, brothers-in-law Alfred Freeman and Thomas Woodard Sr..
