Frances Louise Douce

Frances L. Douce , age 94 died April 5, 2024 at 9:50PM in Marion, Ohio. On December 3, 1929, she was born the third child of Myrtle (Collins) and Dewy V. Fox. She married the love of her life, Everett J. Douce on August 30, 1953. They enjoyed 69 years together and raised three children, Sue Ann (Dwight) Miller, Allen (Cathy) Douce, and Tad (Lori) Douce. They had six grandchildren; Caleb (Jaime) Douce, Jenna (Rob) Walter, Nicole (Aaron) Chupp, Tyler Miller, Savannah Douce, Gabriel Douce and five great grandchildren; Morgan Douce, Makenna Walter, Kate Douce, Kanen Walter and Quinn Douce. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Douce, brother Richard Fox and sister Donna Higgins. She was an active member of Martel United Methodist Church where she served on many committees. She was also involved in the Gideon’s International Auxiliary for over 70 years. She was a stay-at-home mom and loved her family. She loved to play games, especially when she won. She loved people and always opened up her home to people in the family and traveling ministries. You never went away from her table hungry. We just about hit the little one this afternoon. Friends may call April 11th from 5-7 PM and one hour prior to the service on April 12th at 11:00 AM. Memorial Contributions may be made in Frances’ memory to Gideon’s International. The family wants to thank Kingston Residence of Marion staff for their exceptional care of Frances during her final days. Thank you also to the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their excellent care.
