Jessie Holloway

Jessie Virginia Holloway, age 92, of Marion passed away August 19, 2021 at Marion Manor. Jessie was born in Caledonia, Ohio September 2nd, 1928 as the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred (Burkholder) Underwood. Jessie married Harold "Ike" Holloway March 26, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 2006. She attended the Richland Rd. Church of Christ with her daughter Debby. Jessie and her husband loved to travel, they made many trips to Florida over the years, but her favorite place was Hawaii. Jessie and "Ike" enjoyed going for drives that always "managed" to be in the vicinity of ice cream shops or parlors. She enjoyed Word Search puzzles, watching the Wheel of Fortune and spending time with her family. Jessie loved music of all kinds and would do a little "butt wiggle" dance when she sang along. Jessie will be missed by her children, Greg (Jennifer) Holloway, Debby (Joe) Morgan and Sue (Randall) Price, grandchildren, John, Freya, Chris, Brittany and Savannah, 8 great grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister, Carol (Bill) Johnston and sister-in-laws Marguerite Moon and Bev Holloway. Jessie is preceded in death her sisters Opal and Jeanne. Friends may call from 12-1 P.M. on Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home. Funeral service for Jessie will be held at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home Monday, August 23rd at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Marvin J. Collier officiating. Interment to follow in Caledonia Cemetery.
