John Estel Stratton, age 73, of Galion passed away on Friday evening December 10th in Galion Pointe Nursing Care Center. He was born May 15th, 1937 in Vanceburg Kentucky the son of the late George and Lula (Miller) Stratton.. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served aboard the USS Hawkins. For most of his life John worked as a logger. He loved being outdoors and fishing. John is survived by his children, Jamie and Jeremy Stratton of Indiana, Paul Williams of Indiana, Kay Lenzo of Bucyrus and Tommy Dunn of Wisconsin. He is also survived by his sisters, Carmon (Cathy) Atkinson and Helen Prosser of Galion, Bonnie Camp and brother Harold Hubbard of Georgia. He will be missed by his numerous nieces & nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Ethel Crokie and brothers, George, Bill , Leroy and Robert Stratton. A memorial service for John will be at the home of his sister Helen in Galion on Tuesday December 14th at 2:00 with Brother Dave Mahon officiating. Interment will be held Heard Memorial Gardens in Franklin Georgia. Online
