Kathy Elizabeth Blevins

Kathy Elizabeth Blevins, age 76, of Caledonia, Ohio passed away September 22, 2022 at her son’s residence. Kathy was born in Akron, Ohio, December 12, 1945 as the daughter of the late David and Lucille (Heisel) Pope. Kathy married Carl Blevins December 4th, 1965 in Mogadore, Ohio and he preceded her in death September 14th, 2019. Kathy was a 1964 graduate of Mogadore High School and was a member of Caledonia Memorial United Methodist Church. She worked at the Caledonia Post Office for many years and also worked at Presidential Post Acute in Marion, Ohio. Kathy enjoyed shopping and “antiquing” for glassware and other finds. She was also an avid swimmer, loved going on cruises and listening to the “oldies” music of the 50’s and 60’s. Kathy was also a bit of a jokester and prankster, a trait her sons also have. But most of all, Kathy loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Kathy will be greatly missed by her children, Ken (Nikki) Blevins and Jim (Tina) Blevins, grandchildren, David (Nicki), Nathan (Kristen) and Alec (Faith), great grandchildren, Covelyn, Roetta, Gavin, Blaine and Coraline, brother, David (Marilyn) Pope and her furkid Buster. Friends may call from 11-1 on Wednesday, September 28th at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 in Caledonia Cemetery with Pastor Terry Burkhardt officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Kathy’s honor and with Buster’s approval to the Marion Area Humane Society, 2264 Richland Rd., Marion, Ohio 43302.
