Marianne Markley-McGinnis

Marianne Markley - McGinnis age 88 of Caledonia passed away Friday morning September 14th, 2018 at the home of her Son Stephan Markley, where she had resided for the past month. Marianne was born on August 31st, 1930 in Caledonia as the daughter of the late Norris and Zoe Mae (Lindsay) Hill. She was a graduate of Caledonia High School. In 1950 she married the late Lewis L. Markley and he preceded her in death in 1973. She then married Harlan McGinnis in 1975. He preceded her in 1997. Marianne worked in banking all of her professional life. She joined her father in the Caledonia Bank, than she managed the Caledonia Branch of National City and retired from Bank One in Marion. She was Baptized in the Caledonia Church of Christ and would later become a member of St. Mary's Parish in Marion. She was a member of Vera Chapter #64 O.E.S. and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary No. 401, Caledonia. She was an avid "Cleveland" fan, watching all three professional teams. Marianne will be missed by her sons, Leslie Markley and Stephan (Lisa) Markley of Caledonia. She leaves behind five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services observed. Interment will be in Caledonia Cemetery next to her husband Lewis. Memorial Contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice.
