Marjorie Louise Longacre, age 71 of Caledonia, passed away Friday afternoon February 13th, 2009 in Marion General Hospital. She was born November 23rd, 137 in Hornell, New York the daughter of the late Wilfred & Huldabelle (Warriner) Walker. Marjorie was a 1956 graduate of Marion Harding High School . In 1965 she married George Allen Longacre and he survives her in Caledonia. She was a faithful member of the Caledonia Church of Christ and was active in the Dorcas Circle. In past years she was a youth leader at the church and is a former Brownie Leader in Caledonia. Next to her family, flowers have always been her second love. Over her lifetime she was employed at Hemmerly's Flowers and Gifts, The Marion Flower Shop in Marion and Etter's Flower's in Bucyrus. She enjoyed her flower garden at home and at their Summer cabin on Manitoulin Island in Ontario. She also enjoyed doing wedding floral arrangments for her friends and family. She recently retired as head-cook at Libery Elementary, River Valley Schools. Besides her husband of 52 years, Marjorie's memory will be cherished by her son and daughter-in-law, Tom & Yvonne Longacre of Caledonia, her grandchildren; Jennifer, Matthew & Kaitlin Longacre , Lee & Amber Brady, Ben Housekeeper of Williamsburg Va. and Nicole Housekeeper of Caledonia. Great Grandchildren Jasmine Longacre, Dawn & Hunter Brady. Marjorie also leaves behind her only sister & brother -in -law Rosalie & Fred Coffey of Marion. Six nephews & nieces. She was preceded in death by her daughter Terry Housekeeper in January 2007. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17th at the Caledonia Church of Christ at 11:00 in the morning with Kenneth Boswell officiating. Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral home on Monday where the family will receive them from 2 - 4, 6 - 8.� Memorial contributions may be made to the Caledonia Church of Christ.� �
