Mary Elliott

Mary Jo Elliott, age 65, of Caledonia, Ohio passed away August 30th, 2021 at her residence after an extended illness. Mary Jo was born in Marion, Ohio May 24th, 1956 as the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Howard) Kincaid, her mother survives her. Mary Jo married the love of her life, David Elliott on July 20th, 1974 in Marion, Ohio and he survives her at home. Mary Jo worked at JC Penney for over 20 years in the children's dept and in stocking. She finished her career at Chase Bank where she was a teller for over 15 years. Mary Jo and David were known for their nightly walks around Caledonia, where they would visit with neighbors and friends. When they would return would depend on how many "stops" they made to chat. Mary Jo loved shopping, especially Antiquing. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her and David loved to travel, especially to Gatlinburg, Tennesee, where they visited over 14 times. Mary Jo really loved Hawaii, the plane ride there, however, not so much. Mary Jo was a kind soul and her big smile will be greatly missed by all. Mary Jo will be missed by her children, Crystal (Rick) VanBuskirk and Summer (Aaron) Hodges, grandchildren, Abigail and Olivia VanBuskirk and Aria Hodges, brothers, David (Karen) Kincaid and Jeff (Rhonda) Kincaid. Mary Jo is preceded in death her brother, Kenneth Kincaid Jr. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home. Funeral service for Mary Jo will be held at the funeral home, Friday, September 3rd, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Nathan McBeth officiating. Interment to follow at Caledonia Cemetery.
