V. Maxine Brown, age 94, formerly of Kenton, passed away Friday afternoon Oct 10th 2014 at her residence in Marion. Maxine was born on March 3rd, 1920 in Hardin County as the daughter of the late William & Mae (McKinley) Lee. In 1939 she married John W. Brown. He preceded her in death in 1984. During her working days Maxine was employed at Essex Wire and North Electric in Kenton and Westinghouse in Upper Sandusky. She retired from the Wyandot County Senior Citizens in Upper Sandusky. When she was at home Maxine enjoyed cooking and sewing, She prided herself on her flower garden and with her green thumb she could make anything grow. She was good member of the Caledonia Church of Christ where she spent many happy hours "working out" in the exercise room. Above all else her life revolved around her family. She is survived by her daughter Leanna (Mike) Melson, her granddaughter Jessica (Kevin) George and her grandson Joshua (Jamie) Wagner. There are also two step grandsons Chad (Janet) Melson and Eric (Sondra) Melson. One great grandson Joshua Wagner and one great granddaughter Rylee Samantha George. Two step great granddaughters, Emily (Jeff) Williams and Alexis George. Several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. Funeral Services for Maxine will be held on Tuesday October 14th, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia with Kenneth Boswell officiating . Interment will follow in Hale Cemetery, Mt. Victory, Ohio . Friends may call at the Funeral Home in Caledonia on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Caledonia Church of Christ Exercise Room Fund.
