Raymond Eugene Pangborn

Raymond “Ray” Eugene Pangborn, age 93 of Caledonia passed away March 13th, 2023 at Mill Creek Rehabilitation in Galion, Ohio. Ray was born July 6th, 1929 in Morrow County, Ohio as the son of the late Kenneth and Mabel (Kennedy) Pangborn. He married the love of his life, Romalene (Sharrock) February 27, 1949 in Greenup, KY. Romalene survives him at home. He was a graduate of Martel High School class of 1947. Ray was a proud member of the Army. Ray was a devout member of Martel United Methodist Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. He owned Monroe Laundry & Drycleaners for 11 years and Pangborn Steam Cleaning for over 27 years. Ray enjoyed playing Euchre and was a lifelong Republican. Most of all, Ray loved his family. Ray will be missed by his children, Jerry (Pam) Pangborn and Vivian (Mike) Christian, grandchildren, Johnine Witten, and Dustin Pangborn, great grandchildren, Kylie, Keirsten, Kasey, Kamrynn,  Gunner, Isaac and Elijah. Ray is preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Pletcher and Lois Snare, grandchildren, Casey and Joey. Friends may call from 6-9PM Thursday, March 16th at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be March 18th at 11:00AM at Martel United Methodist Church, where friends may call at 10:30AM. Pastor Amy Barr officiating. Burial will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Raymond’s memory may be made to Martel United Methodist Church, 4190 Martel Rd. Caledonia, Ohio.
