Reta Grace Hipsher age 86 formerly of Caledonia died peacefully Tuesday morning September 26th, 2006 at the Worthington Christian Village . Reta Grace was born July 1st, 1920 in Marion the daughter of the late Oden & Florence (Burtsfield) Caldwell. In 1963 she married Forrest G. Hipsher. He preceded her in death on Feb 16, 1989. Reta Grace was a graduate of Caledonia High School, she had work for a period of time for the Landmark Elevator in Martel and retired as the office secretary at Martel Elementary, River Valley Schools. She was an EMT and served on the First Consolidated Emergency Squad for a period of time. She was a very talented organist. She played organ for the Church of Christ in Caledonia for over 50 years and for the Timson Allen Funeral Home for many years. She was a member of the Mt. Vernon Ave. Church of Christ in Marion. Reta Grace is survived by her son Roy Mason of Norwalk and her two daughters and their husbands; Joan & Paul Keeran of Prospect and Janice & Darrell Keirns of Caledonia. She is also survived by her step daughter Glenda Markle of Caledonia. Five Grandchildren; Kevin Keirns of Mt. Pleasant, WI, Adam Keirns of Galion, Brian Keeran of Marion, Aaron Keeran of Green Camp and Jennifer Keeran of Mansfield. Eight Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson Darren Keirns, two step-sons, three step daughters and two sisters.
Funeral Services for Reta Grace be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday September 29th, 2006 at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia . Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 - 9 . Memorial Contributions may be made to Worthington Christian Village.
