Robert S. Berry Sr. age 82 of 1173 Martinque Dr. Marion, Passed away Friday morning November 17th, 2006 in Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation Center. Bob was born September 8th, 1924 in Mt. Vernon, ohio. He was the son of the late William Berry Sr. and Ethel Tyler Berry. On June 8th 1946 he married the former Cleta M. McClenathan. She survives him at home. Mr. Berry is a U.S. Army veteran of the Asian Theater. He was a member of VFW Post 7201 and American Legion Post 584 in Marion. He worked as aa auto service manager for various auto dealership in the area including: C & D Chevrolet, Inskeep and Key's. He attended Martel United Methodist Church. In his spare time Bob loved to golf, bowl and playing cards. Besides his wife of 60 years, Bob is survived by his children; Robert Jr. & Wanda Berry of Bucyrus, Judy & Richard Drake of Marion and Eric & Erline Berry of Marion. Eighteen grandchildren, Twenty-Five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers; Richard Berry of Benton and Kenneth Berry of Marion. Two sisters: Deloris Price of Galion and Sylvia Lawson of Marion. He was preceded in death by his son Ronald, Two brothers, one sister and one step-son.
Funeral Services for Robert S. Berry Sr. will be held at 11:00 Monday November 20th, 2006 at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia with Pastor Joseph Platt officiating. Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00.
