Robey E. Farrow
Robey E. Farrow age 80 formerly of the Marion - Wyandot County area passed away Saturday evening June 9th, 2007 in Fairhaven Community Care Center in Upper Sandusky. Robey was born Feb. 23rd, 1927 in Ashland, Kentucky the son of the late Bennie Farrow Sr. and Linnie (Crace) Farrow. In 1950 he married the former Lois Swisher and she survives him in Upper Sandusky. Robey was a 1943 graduate of Pike Rural High School and had worked at Marion Power Shovel for Twenty Two years before his retirement in 1989, He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II having served in Germany and Austria . He was a faithful member of the Caledonia Memorial United Methodist Church in Caledonia where he had served in various positions including being a Sunday School teacher. He also gave of his time as a driver for Meals on Wheels. Robey enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, playing cards and Horseshoes. He was also a noted poet and artist. Besides his wife Robey is survived by his three daughters: Judy (Mark) Conrad of Tuscarawas, OH, Diane (Henry) Weaver of Upper Sandusky, and Sharon (John) Swinehart of Sunbury. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Terri Farrow. Five Grand Children; Ryan Farrow of Wilmington, NC, Jessica (Joshua) Scott off Bucyrus, Derek (Lindsay) Conrad, Mychal Conrad & Kelly Conrad. Four Great Grandchildren; Sarah & Hannah Scott, Jordan & Ava Conrad. Three sisters and one brother; Hona Lu (Sexton) Thompson of Mt. Vernon, OH, Betty Tulak of Henderson, NV, Faye Borders of Mansfield and Carl Farrow of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his son Ronald E. Farrow and his brother Bennie Farrow Jr Sycamore.
Funeral Services for Robey will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday June 12th, 2007 in the Caledonia Memorial United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Marion Veteran's Council. Friends may call at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia on Monday between the hours of 2 - 4 and 6 - 8.
