She was born in Marion, Ohio as the daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn (Dehaven) Gibson. She was a woman whose quiet and reserved nature spoke volumes through the love she held for her family and her simple yet meaningful life. A graduate of Ridgedale High School, Class of 1966, Shirley chose the path of a homemaker, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to nurturing her home and those she cherished most. She also held a special fondness for the vibrant atmosphere of Daytona Beach, where she spent many cherished moments. She loved the quiet, calmness of the water that mirrored her inner peace. Her love for the outdoors was evident in the joy she found tending to her garden, particularly caring for her beloved hibiscus flowers, which reflected her gentle and nurturing spirit. Her husband was also a landscaper, and she helped create a beautiful home for themselves.
She is survived by her son, Shawn Fissell; her grandson, Antonio Roque; her brother, Rick Gibson, along with his wife Pam; and her sister, Terry Gibson.
